Unsigned watch in the shape of a soap box

A French 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased, keyless, monogrammed pocket watch, circa 1900. Sold on 18 February 1893 to Madame Max for 1,000 francs. The case features a guilloché pattern with a monogram on the cover. The front displays a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, a minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock, and Louis XV style hands. The reverse exposes a visible lever movement, encircled by a white enamel disc indicating the days. The watch is accompanied by a case from Maison A la Corbeille d’Or Bernard, 38 bis rue de Rivoli, Paris.
