A fine Swiss, 14K yellow gold open faced keyless pocket watch, circa 1897. A polished case, a hinged gold cuvette, the bezel decorated with gold leaves, the back decorated with a gryphon. Engine-turned gold dial with blue Arabic numerals on white enamel chapter plaques, outer minute blue dots, subsidiary seconds, Blued steel Louis XV hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
