A fine English gilt metal and enamel pair-cased verge pocket watch, circa 1750. A gilt outer case, the bezels decorated with flowers, the back painted with three figures in an architectural landscape, polished inner case. White enamel dial, radial Roman hours, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals and blued steel beetle & poker hands. A hinged gilt-brass full plate movement, square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved cock, silver regulation disc. Movement signed.
