Silver hunting lever lady’s watch

A Swiss silver, painted on enamel and pearl-set lady’s pendant watch, circa 1890. Made for the Chinese market. An Empire hunting case, front cover painted on enamel with a portrait of a lady, red translucent enamel background, back with a stork amongst lilies within a red translucent enamel border to match the front, bezels set with half pearls. Three-quarter white enamel dial with gold paillon floral decoration, small dial with radial Roman numerals, outer gold paillon minute divisions, aperture at the left for the visible escapement and gilt Louis XV hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, the mainspring housed in a large barrel mounted on the backplate,17 jewels, 8-day going, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Dial and movement signed.
