An elegant Swiss 18K gold, enamel and rose diamond-set lady’s keyless pendant watch, circa 1890. With an integral gold and seed pearl-set bar brooch. The front is overlaid with lilac enamel, rose-cut diamonds around the glazed aperture, hexagonal terminals set with seed pearls, and the back cover with lilac champlevé enamel monogram MV, suspension chains decorated with enamel. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions and gilt Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, eight jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
