A fine French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, outer minute dots with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold hands. The timepiece is housed in a round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold case. The back cover is beautifully guilloché, decorated with detailed floral motifs and a central shield vacant cartouche. It also has an internal gold protective cuvette, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow.
