–
A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, made by B. Poitevin and V. Lejeune, circa 1900. This watch features a handwound mechanical movement with a lever escapement, consistent with the quality of French watchmaking from the late 19th to the early 20th century. The white enamel dial displays black baton hour markers and black Roman numerals, complemented by an outer minute track and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The hands are pear shaped in yellow gold. The round 18 carat yellow gold case features a smooth polished bezel. The watch is fitted with a numbered yellow gold double cuvette, also in 18 carat gold, both signed and numbered. Accompanied by an 18 carat yellow gold chain, gross weight 26.9 g
