Open faced pocket watch by Jean Godde Le Jeune

A big decorative French Oignon with silver case, made by Jean Godde Le Jeune, watchmaker from Louis XIV, master since 1691, noted until 1729.
Brass and silver case with champlevé decoration, birds and rocaille. Early French main plate movement with verge escapement, main plate signed and verge bridge also with birds. Fire-gilt dial with black Arabic minutes, blue Roman hours, enamel cartouches and iron hands. It has a stiff opening mechanism.
