Vari-coloured gold and diamond-set watch

A very fine  French vari coloured gold and diamond-set open faced verge watch, circa 1770. Hinged, frosted gilt full plate movement with conical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three armed brass balance with blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with silver scale, pierced and engraved balance cock, polished steel coqueret.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with five minute Arabic numerals and original diamond-set Louis XV hands. Louis XV case, rose-cut diamond-set bezel, chased and engraved with flowers and repeated pattern, diamond thumbpiece, the back set with a painted on enamel panel depicting a couple in love, rose cut diamond set border. Opening buttons diamond-set Movement and dial signed.
