Gold cylinder pocket watch with visible balance

An unusual French cylinder with visible diamond-set balance in a gold open face case, circa 1830. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Small cock with polished steel setting for the garnet endstone. Polished steel regulator and retaining bridge. Polished steel cylinder and escape wheel. Engine-turned silver dial with a small subsidiary dial of Roman numerals in the lower half, blue steel hands. The decorative diamond set balance occupies the upper half of the dial over a decorative swirl background. Slender polished steel cock with garnet endstone. Engine turned gold open face case with engine turned middle. Wound and set through the signed gilt cuvette.
