A rare French 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl-set quarter repeating pendant watch, circa 1815. Accompanied by a short gold chain and key. An Empire case, reeded band, pearl set bezel, the back set with a panel of royal blue translucent enamel over sunray engine-turning, pearl set border and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. A matte gilt movement, standing barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on polished square section gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed.
