Gold heart form pendant watch

A fine French 18 carat yellow gold, enamel and pearl set open faced heart shaped key wind pendant watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1800. The gilt movement with a verge escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, Arabic five minute numerals and gilt Breguet hands. Winding through the front cover. The translucent enamelled heart form case with polychrome enamel decoration and pearl set bezels, a further pearl set ring on the reverse with a enamel painted scene in the center depicting a little girl in the garden. Dial and movement signed. Comes with a key.
