Gilt five-minute repeating pocket watch

A fine gilt-plated, keyless five-minute repeating pocket watch with automaton striking Jack, circa 1980. An Empire case polished back with floral motif engraving, reeded band. Blue dial with printed Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, set in the centre of a blued plate with applied yellow gold classical figures playing the harp and striking a bell, a pointer dog hunting a duck below. Black Breguet hands. A gilt brass movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing lever in the band. Dial signed.
