A fine French Louis XIV Oignon pocket watch with cartouche dial, circa 1710.
Gilt case, engraved with mythical creatures and birds. Early French verge movement with very high and steep fusee and bridge also with birds. Fire-gilt cartouche dial with dark blue enameled cartouches, birds in center, iron hands, blue Roman hours and black Arabic minutes.
