A fine and rare 18 Carat vari coloured gold and gem set pendant watch, made for the Turkish market by Ramu in Paris, France, circa 1830. Two body and bassine case applied with vari coloured gold foliage and the bezel and back set with foiled red faceted stones.
Gold dial with white enamel annular chapter ring with radial Islamic numerals, outer minute track, engine-turned gold centre, outer border beneath the bezel and blued steel Breguet hands. Matte gilt movement with three-quarter plate, standing barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, flat balance spring and an index regulator.
