Gustave-Roger Sandoz took over his father’s jewellery shop in Paris in 1891. The jewellery he created was very much inspired by art Nouveau; Sandoz also worked with Émile Gallé and produced elaborate mounts for some of Gallé’s glass objects. He sat on the jury during the International Exhibition in Paris in 1900 and exhibited his creations.
