A French fine, rare gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement, circa 1830.
18 carat pink gold, lavishly engine turned case with reeded band, a pusher for repetition via pendant, a lever to stop quarter repeating mechanism and a slide for activating the musical movement. Gold, engine turned and florally engraved dial with inlaid radial Roman numerals and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with two hammers, two gongs, two going barrels, sur plateau musical movement, cylinder escapement and three arm ring balance.
