A splendid French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating ruby cylinder pocket watch with parachute suspension, circa 1830. Frosted gilt quality jewelled movement, ruby cylinder escapement, gilt plain three armed balance with parachute suspension, blued steel flat balance spring, polished steel index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a pull-and-twist button in the pendant. Gold hinged cuvette.
Silver sunray dial with Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and Breguet hands.
Engine turned case and engine turned band. Cuvette signed. In excellent condition.
