A French important quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with secret signature, circa 1822. Sold on October 28, 1822, to Duriveau, Officier Superieur du Genie for 1.320 Francs.
18 Carat pink gold case, case design quatre baguettes, polished, engine-turned band, pusher for repetition at 2, case maker’s punch mark LJ 58. Enamel dial, Breguet numerals, secret signature below 12,  signed: Breguet et Fils, blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, gilt, two hammers, two gongs, ruby cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring with bimetallic temperature compensation curb on the index, shock protection parachute.
