Etienne Hubert, also known as Estienne Hubert or Etienne Hubert le jeune, was a French watchmaker born on August 24, 1634, in Rouen. He worked as a master in the parish of Saint Michel in Rouen after being appointed in 1656. He married twice and had seven children, including David Hubert, who was a watchmaker in London around 1714. Etienne Hubert fled to The Hague and Amsterdam in 1686 or 1688 and later referred to himself as Etienne Hubert laîné. He signed his watches with Etienne Hubert Junior and is believed to have passed away around 1720.
