Silver carillon quarter repeater

A Jacquemart automaton with three hammer carillon strike made in France, circa 1810. The numbered open faced case of this pocket watch, which was crafted from silver, has a coined band, a French silver punch and maker’s mark ADC. The translucent blue enamel face of the watch has a magnificent multi coloured gold figure automaton with two Jacquemarts striking on a bell with a hammer during repeating and small white enamel time indication with radial Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions and steel hands. The movement has a verge escapement, repeating the quarter hours with three hammers.
