A rare, silver double-dialled French military pocket watch with chronograph by chronometer maker Paul Garnier Paris, from the 19th century.
Silver case, on the edge French military marking Nord-Voie 35. Two dials: on the front enamel dial, signed Paul Garnier, with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and blued steel hands; on the reverse, a very rare military chronograph with 10-minute counter. Precision lever movement with chronograph.
