This antique watch is truly a masterpiece. It features a stunning gilt oval full plate movement with a verge escapement. The dial is beautifully engraved in gilt, adding to its overall elegance. The case is lavishly hand-engraved on both sides, with a decorated border and finely engraved case band. This timepiece was crafted by the renowned watchmaker Nicolas Galliard (or Gaillard), who was active from 1555 until his death in 1602. The movement is signed with his name, N. Galliard, adding to its historical significance.
