A decorative verge pocket watch “Oignon”, circa 1680.
Fire gilt brass chase with mythological scene, large lateral hinge. Gilt dial, Champlevé dial, enamel cartouches with blue radial Roman numerals, chased and engraved foliate decoration in the centre, Louis XVI hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, chain/ fusee, silver Egyptian movement pillars, three-arm steel balance, large florally engraved and pierced balance bridge with mascaron.
