Fire gilt open faced alarm watch

A decorative verge pocket watch witch alarm “Oignon” Brass case, circa 1700, fire gilt, engraved foliate decor. Gilthamplevé dial, enamel cartouches with black radial Roman numerals, chased and engraved decoration in the centre, blued steel hands. Fine full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, signed, chain/fusee, heavy English case, Egyptian movement pillars, verge escapement,  three-arm iron balance, large florally engraved and pierced balance bridge, silver regulator disc.
This watch clearly shows the English influence because of their apprenticeship in both London and Paris.

Dumont Freres (Claude Guillaume and Pierre Francois). Besancon (France) 1693-1726. The most famous makers of Besancon. Made clock on Hopital St. Jacques in 1704.
They did their apprenticeship in Paris, London.
