A very fine French verge pocket watch with alarm, circa 1810. This watch features a silver, tiered, engine-turned case with the case maker’s punch mark DC. The enamel dial is signed and showcases Arabic Empire numerals, a central alarm disc with Arabic numerals, and elegant blued Breguet hands. The watch’s movement is a full plate design, keywind, gilt, with a chain/fusee and barrel for alarm. It also includes solid movement pillars, one hammer, a three-arm brass balance, and a pierced balance bridge.
