A large, gold pocket watch with chain and box, made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1915. The numbered case of this watch is crafted from 14 carat gold and the enamel dial features an outer minute track, Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, blued Breguet steel hands and is inscribed “Deutsche Uhrenfabrikation Glashütte I/SA”. The numbered movement quality “Deutsche Uhrenfabrikation Glashütte” and is fitted with an A. Lange & Söhne precision lever escapement, a gold lever, a gold escape wheel and a fine adjusting device.
The case and movement have matching numbers and the case and dial are signed.
