A rare half hunter cased pocket watch, quality 1A, made by Adolf Schneider in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1870. The numbered case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat gold and has a monogram on the back which is also marked G. Bank. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and the original hands. The numbered best factory quality 1A movement has a lever escapement, screwed gold chatons, a diamond end stone, a gold lever and a gold escapement wheel.
Dial, movement and box are signed.
