Gold gentlemen’s pocket watch

A large open faced pocket watch with date made by J.H. Guenin in Konstanz, Germany, circa 1780. The numbered plain case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold. Its white enamel dial has outermost polychrome enamel floral decoration, Roman hours, an outer minute track with Arabic fifteen minute numerals, inner Arabic numerals for the date, gold hands indicating the time and a black hand indicating the date. The movement has a verge escapement.
The dial and movement are signed.
