A German decorative gold enamel verge pocket watch, circa 1780.
Gilt case, the back cover with a translucent and opaque polychrome enamel plaque depicting a gallant scene on a cobalt blue enamelled background, and the bezel on front set with pastes. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours and Louis XVI hands. Signed, firegilt, keywind, florally hand-engraved full plate movement with chain/fusee, solid movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
