Rose Gold Full Hunter by A. Lange & Söhne

A German, gold Glashütte hunting cased pocket watch in an unusual case, manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1882. This watch has an interesting history and features an 18K rose gold hammered design case. The 3/4 plate movement has a gold screw compensation balance. The enamel dial has radial Roman hours, an outer minutes track with red Arabic numerals for every five minutes, a subsidiary dial for seconds, and gold Louis XV-style hands. The watch was sold on September 30, 1882, for 344 marks to the Dürrstein company in Dresden. It comes with the original box and Lange extract from the archives.

This pocket watch from Lange & Söhne has an interesting history. The original case was modified into a half-hunting case pocket watch, but later on, Lange & Söhne gave it a new case with the original case number, which is how it remains today.
