It is signed and numbered A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte B/Dresden, with the serial number 17298. The dial is silver and varicoloured gold, with the centre and outer border displaying chased and engraved gilded flowers and foliage. The pendant and bow are similarly decorated. The handset lever is located beneath the bezel at the 4 o’clock position. The watch includes a glazed inner cuvette and a polished gold outer cuvette, engraved with foliage and signed within banners and a shield, Wilkins & Danger, Bremen. The covers bear Swiss gold marks. The movement is running smoothly. The hands are set accurately. The chime repeats, but it doesn’t sound for the first quarter between 15 and 29 minutes past the hour. However, after 30 minutes, the quarters chime correctly. The dial shows minor losses of black enamel paint on the numerals, with a small scratch near the 10 o’clock position and some scratches on the subsidiary seconds. The case shows some signs of polishing, but the decorative details remain clear. The monogram MCG is visible.

Signed: A. Lange & Söhne Glashutte B/Dresden
