A splendid German 18 carat gold, Royal Presentation hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1884. The case is set with enamel, pearls set and diamonds. Retailed by G. Schulze in Munchen. The front covers are decorated with an enamel scene of a Queen seated on a cloud surrounded by five cherubs, inside front cover with engraved Ludwicg II Rex Bavariae 1884. The back cover with a royal blue guilloche enamel and diamond stars. Hinged gold cuvette signed by the retailer G. Schulze, Munchen. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium plated, half plate movement, Geneva striping decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
