A German very early A. Lange & Söhne pocket watch with repeating hours and quarters, circa 1884.
18 carat gold  American “à goutte” case ( probably 2nd case) with glazed movement. Very early A. Lange & Söhne precision lever movement in quality 1A with diamond endstone, screwed gold chatons, gold lever and gold escape wheel; bridge engraved by hand, early version still without fine adjusting device. White enamel dial with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial for the seconds and pink gold hands. Comes with high-grade leather box, inscribed A. Lange & Söhne Glashütte bei Dresden, and extract of the archive.
