A fine German gold hunting cased keyless quarter repeating lever watch, circa 1907. The watch features a first-quality movement with a 19”’ cal. 43 gilded three-quarter plate, gold lever, bimetallic compensation balance, diamond-set endstone, and swan-neck regulation, signed and numbered by A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte & Dresden. The dial is white enamel with a sunken chapter ring, Arabic numerals, an outer minute ring, and gold Louis XV-style hands, signed Lange & Söhne, Glashütte. The case is made of 18k gold with plain cases, a plain gold cuvette, and a slide repeat in the band, signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte on the case front and back. The covers and cuvette are numbered and have German gold marks.
–
Accompanied by a certificate of origin from the Museum of Glashütte confirming the date of sale on October 30, 1907, to August König, Hohenlimburg.

The dial is clean, with a small hairline running outwards from the subsidiary dial towards 2. The cases are in good condition with minimal surface scratches, and the band is free from dents. The watch runs when wound, and the slide repeat mechanism also functions, but it may benefit from a service. It’s important to note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its timekeeping.

Signed: A Lange & Söhne
