A fine German Glashütte hunting cased pocket watch, manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1902.
18 carat rose gold case, polished and case design “Lucia à goutte”, with engraved monogram “AM“, gold dome and inner lid with dedication engraving: “Albert Mayer, Chemnitz”. Signed enamel dial with Arabic “Empire” numerals, auxiliary seconds, and gold Louis XV hands. 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt and signed, with screwed gold chatons, gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, index spring fine adjusting device, gold lever and escape wheel, and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
