An unusual, German gentleman’s pocket watch with lever escapement according to Emery, steel escape wheel and steel lever with ruby palettes, circa 1820.
18 Carat rose gold engine-turned case with reeded band, seconds stop lever, and case maker’s punch mark IE. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, and blued Breguet hands. Y-shaped bridge movement, keywind, frosted and gilt, with going barrel, three-arm ring balance, and temperature-compensating balance spring.
