An extremely rare, fine silver hour repeating Rococo splendour coach clock with hour self strike and alarm, circa 1740. Gilt, frosted full plate movement, engraved, florally pierced decorations, chain/fusee, baluster shaped movement pillars, barrel for repetition, additional engraved barrel for alarm, two hammers, one bell, verge escapement, gilt regulator disc, three armed brass balance, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock with mascaron, facetted ruby endstone on balance. Silver champlevé dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, central alarm disc, blued Louis XV hands. Case with finely engraved rocailles, volutes and foliate decor, large lateral hinge.
