Open faced clock coach watch by Georg Friederich Körber, Francfurth
A German repoussé quarter/hour repeating coach clock with quarter repeating mechanism and alarm, circa 1750. Silver, repoussé case with a depiction of a noble couple reading a book and playing music on the back side, border with chased foliate decor, rear bell, string for repetition and large lateral hinge. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, central alarm hand and opened Breguet hands. Full plate movement, fire gilt, signed, chain/fusee, baluster-shaped movement pillars, three florally engraved barrels for striking and alarm train, four hammers, cylinder escapement, and three-arm brass balance.
