A splendid, very well preserved, one-handed Louis XIV oignon watch with central winding and mock pendulum by Anton Frizon a Paris, circa 1700. A gilt case with leather cover, inside a very well preserved original gilt and rare oignon movement with mock pendulum, verge movement with splendid decoration, engraved birds and ornaments, signed plate, very high pillars, very well preserved original dial with enamel cartouches, decorated with birds in the centre, roman numerals, very nice condition of preservation for such an early verge watch, movement intact, listed watchmaker in Paris 1700 – 1748.
