An 18 Carat yellow gold plated (probably on silver) full hunter cased lever pocket watch with a concealed erotic scene, circa 1860. Round shaped engine turned case, reeded band, a polychrome enamel erotic scene concealed in a secret compartment of the case back showing a naked couple making the beast with two backs… as Shakespeare said! White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, an outer minutes track, a subsidiary dial for the seconds at 6 o’clock and Breguet hands. Gilded brass movement with going barrel, straight line equilibrated lever escapement, compensated balance and a blued steel flat hairspring.
