A Swiss yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1904. Retailed by Galt & Bro, Washington D.C. This watch features a gilt finished jewelled movement with lever escapement. It has a white enamel dial with Dauphine numerals, outer red five-minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, and Louis XV hands. The case is made of 18-carat yellow gold with an engine-turned design, a hinged case back, and a cuvette inscribed with To Christopher From Annie, March 6, 1918. Both the dial and movement are signed by the maker and retailer, with the case signed by the retailer. Accessories include a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, confirming the date of sale as October 2, 1905.

The case is in fair condition, exhibiting wear and surface scuffing throughout. There is noticeable wear and loss of engine turning on both the hinged case and case back, with some areas showing pitting. The cuvette has scratches. The enamel dial remains intact without visible hairlines. The signature is thickly applied and appears reprinted. The movement shows some light surface wear but is running.
