A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold keyless Chronometer Gondolo pocket watch, made by Patek, Philippe & Cie. in Geneva, circa 1904. Made for the Brazilian market, Luiz E de S Nogueira. A polished open faced case with a hinged gold cuvette and an engine turned case back. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 and yellow gold spade hands. A gilded brass movement, with going barrel, train of gold wheels, straight line equilibrated lever escapement, à moustaches, compensated balance with gold poising screws and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, patented index regulator with swanneck spring and micrometric screw. Dial, case and movement are signed.
