A Swiss heavy minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, perpetual calendar and moon phase, circa 1890.
18 Carat gold, polished, à goutte case with punch mark MF, pusher for chronograph at 12, slide for repeating mechanism and signed Auguste Richard New York gold dome. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, three subsidiary dials for indications of the weekday, the date and months under consideration of the leap year, cobalt blue enamelled moon phase disc with inlaid golden moon and stars, and blued spade hands. Bridge movement, rhodium-plated, with Geneva Striping, finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, two hammers / two gongs, screwed gold chatons, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
