A fine and rare Indian 18 Carat gold and diamond minute repeating watch for the Indian market, circa 1880, nickel lever movement, highly jewelled, some carried in gold chatons, repeating on gongs, bi metallic compensation balance, gold cuvette.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, case engraved overall with scrolling foliage, the front lid centered by a patera, set with rose cut diamonds, the reverse engraved with strapwork and scrolls, accompanied by a heavy 18 Carat gold chain composed of laniard stye links, all en suite with the original fitted leather box.
