A large gold numbered enamel verge watch with painting, made circa 1800. The gilt protective open faced case is glazed and has a five part lateral hinge, is worked in two colours, has a back lid with a fine enamel painting and is surrounded by a white enamel, probably restored, rim. The white enamel dial has an outer ring with black Arabic numerals for the minutes (outside) and the hours (inside) and pick gold hands. The gilt movement has a verge escapement.
