Gold lever keyless dress watch

A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold, thin, keyless, minute repeating dress watch, circa 1902. Made for Henry Oemisch, Rochester, N.Y., sold on February 29, 1904.  Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. A polished case. hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XV hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
