A Swiss silver open faced quarter repeating keyless Empire pocket watch, made by Vacheron & Constantin in Geneva, circa 1810. A polished case back with an engine turned case band, the case is made by JM, Geneva. Quarter repeater by two hammers on two steel gongs, activated by depressing the pendant. White enamel dial with suspended Breguet numerals, outer minute track, and gilded metal Breguet hands. A gilded brass movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, gilded brass monometallic balance and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock, repeater work on the main plate, under the dial. Signature on the dial, cuvette and movement.
