A Swiss silver keyless wind chronograph pocket watch issued for the USA Engineers Corps by Vacheron et Constantin, circa 1920. Gilt 3/4 plate 20 jewel Swiss lever movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, swan neck regulation, column wheel chronograph. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, black outer 1/5th second divisions, blued steel Mercedes style hands, centre chronograph, subsidiary seconds at 6. Polished round open face case, back engraved ‘Corps of Engineers. Case, dial and movement signed.
