Patek Philippe often partnered with fine retailers, providing specialized pieces and movements specifically for those vendors all across the world.
–
The Cowell and Hubbard Co. was Cleveland, Ohio’s oldest jewellery store, operating from 1861. The firm, which took control of the famed American silversmiths Royal Cowles (circa 1849), sold a fine array of timepieces, clocks, lamps and jewellery. Revered as one of the finest jewellery stores west of New York, the retailer opened its own New York City brick-and-mortar location by 1920. Cowell and Hubbard Co. was purchased by Bailey, Banks & Biddle in 1964, another fine retailer of Patek Philippe timepieces in the United States.
